Beim Spiel Aerial Mahjong müssen offen liegende Symbolsteine, welche zu einem Gebilde aufeinandergestapelt sind weggeräumt werden. Es dürfen nur immer jeweils zwei Steine mit demselben Symbol oder der gleichen Kategorie weggeräumt werden. Zu den Kategoriesteinen zählen Steine mit Windzeichen, Blumen oder Bilder drauf. Hier müssen nur zwei Steine mit jeweils einem Bild, einer Blume oder einem Windzeichen drauf gefunden werden. Zudem müssen diese Steine mindestens zu einer Seite hin freiliegend sein. Sobald man zwei gleiche Steine gefunden hat, müssen diese nacheinander mit der Maus angeklickt werden, damit sie vom Spielfeld verschwinden. Für jedes abgeräumte Pärchen gibt es Punkte. Das gesamte Spiel geht über mehrere Level. Man gelangt in das nächste Level sobald alle Steine des vorigen weggeräumt sind. Damit das Spiel nicht ewig dauert, gibt es ein Zeitlimit. Innerhalb dieses Limits müssen die Symbole gefunden und weggeräumt werden. Die Zeit wird einem unten links in form eines abnehmenden Balken dargestellt. Sobald die Zeit vor dem Abräumen um ist, wird das Spiel beendet. Kann man alle Pärchen vor Ablauf der vorgegebenen Zeit abräumen, erhält man zusätzliche Punkte.
